With nearly 12 years of experience in college admissions, Daniel previously served on the admissions and interview committee at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (ranked #3 by U.S. News & World Report). He is currently the Assistant Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid at the University of Chicago's Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. A recipient of Kellogg's 2024 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belong (DEIB) Award, Daniel has piloted multiple initiatives to increase the pool of diverse talent at highly selective universities.
As the first in his family to attend college, Daniel understands the hurdles that come with pursuing higher education. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools, and the challenges he faced during his journey to and through college with minimal navigational wealth were formative experiences that fueled a lifelong commitment to helping others overcome similar obstacles. Daniel is a double UNC-Chapel Hill alum with an M.A. in Educational Innovation, Technology, Entrepreneurship and a B.A. in Spanish.
